Artist's Information
Kirkman’s paintings are explorations of colour and light. She has been a graphic artist and illustrator for twenty-five years. In addition she has studied with Nancy Slaught, Victoria’s top pastel artist; Susan Ogilvie, well known American pastel landscape artist; and Bob Burridge, American acrylic artist, and educator.
“I love colour, and I love the patterns of shadows on a bright day. I find myself always aware of the beauty around me, and painting is my way of celebrating this beauty and sharing it with others.”
