Artist's Information
Anne was born in South Africa and from an early age was intensely interested in art in all forms. After graduating from high school she trained to be a Secondary Art teacher. Anne moved to B.C. in 1984, focused on raising her family, and resumed her art work in 1997.
Anne has participated in many group shows and has held a number of solo shows on southern Vancouver Island. Her work has won several awards and entrance into juried exhibitions. In 2002 she became an Associate member of the Institute of Canadian Artists and also an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Her work hangs in corporate and private collections in Canada, U.S.A., Europe and South Africa. “I feel it is important to continually grow as an artist and never be timid to try new ideas. Composition, colour and edges are for me the three most important aspects of my work.”
